InGeneral

The diversity education initiative at Measured Progress will raise our awareness of all kinds of diversity— geography, ethnicity, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities. It is critical that each of us appreciates what makes us different and that such appreciation informs every aspect of our work.

As the nation’s population changes, so will the demands of our clients. Our success rests on our ability to adjust to clients’ evolving needs and respond to regional and cultural differences through the development, bias, and sensitivity process. And as our district client roster grows, it is imperative that we relate to, understand, and honor diversity; otherwise, we’ll never build the trust and mutual respect that is essential to strong, productive relationships with urban districts.

While a core team of volunteers is planning a variety of activities, all employees are welcome to get involved. Submit your ideas and suggestions or participate in the planning of an event. Visit the Intranet often and check out the monthly activities and materials. By doing so, we will reap the dual benefits of increasing our ability to serve our clients and enriching our relationships with one another.
